Assignment

The task involved generating multiple sketches for interactive systems aimed at connecting newcomers in a new city to find friends while traveling. These sketches were created through divergent thinking, followed by convergence towards a refined concept.

Additionally, the assignment required refining selected interface designs using established prototyping tools, incorporating inspiration from graphic design styles, and discussing the visual design's alignment with interface design principles outlined in the course literature.

The app's homepage presents users with popular travel destinations, current users in those areas, user stories, and a central hub called "Link Up," where individuals can arrange meet-ups and collaborate with fellow users.

"My Connections" is a dedicated page within the app where users can organize meet-ups, trips, or activities with fellow users. Additionally, a map displaying verified meet-ups offers a comprehensive overview of planned interactions.

The foundation of this app, developed as part of a previous academic project, laid the groundwork for my subsequent thesis work. In my thesis, I delved into refining the concept based on the specific needs and desires of the target audience, further enriching its functionality and user experience.
